SEO Elite Updated

One of my favorite pieces of web marketing software is Brad Callen's SEO Elite. This latest update (Version 4) features a redesigned and much improved user interface.

SEO Elite is made up of a number of "projects". Specifically:

Project 1: Analyze Backlinks Using A Specified Search Engine.
Project 2: Get Links To Your Website. (NEW)
Project 3: Analyze AllinAnchor, AllinText, AllinTitle.
Project 4: Verify That Link Partners Are Still Linking Back.
Project 5: Find Where Your Website Is Ranked For A Given Keyword.
Project 6: Find How Many Web Pages Are Indexed.
Project 7: Find Possible Authority Websites. (NEW)
Project 8: Submit Articles To Article Directories. (NEW)

But it's Project 7 - Find Possible Authority Websites - that holds the most interest for me. One of the most significant factors in doing well with Google is getting inbound links from sites which Google have a high regard for. In other words, "authority" sites.

With Project 7 you simply enter a keyword phrase and the number of sites you want to analyse, and SEO Elite will give you a detailed report on which sites link to the sites you are analysing. If you find that a number of the top ranked sites are linked to from a particlar authority site, and your site isn't, then it's a safe bet that getting a link from that authority site will be of great benefit to you.

I've only started playing with this tool. I ran a report on "website designer" for which I'm currently sitting on position 19 on Google (US). Already I've identified a number of authority sites which link to the top 5 sites and not to mine. So using this information I'm formulating a plan to improve my rankings on those keywords. I've been on page 1 in the past, but the top few sites seem to remain pretty constant.

As a research tool, SEO Elite is a real gem. Well done Brad!
