Put Video on Your Website

Easy Web Video Review - Video on Your Website

I have to admit, I'm a bit of a latecomer to the online video revolution. But a client recently asked me about the possibility of adding video clips of her client's businesses to her site. Adding a simple download link was not difficult at all, but having a video play within the browser window was not something I had attempted before.

Now I knew the best way to do this was to convert an AVI or mpeg file to Flash format, as Flash is much more effecient and has smaller file sizes. But how? I checked out Adobe's help files but it looked oh so complicated.

Then I discovered a neat little program called Easy Web Video. As the title says, it really is easy! You just load your video, adjust a few settings and then click the "convert" button. As well as creating the Flash file which you upload to your hosting server, the program creates the HTML which you just copy and paste to your web page. All in all, it took me less than 5 minutes to convert, paste and upload. You can see the video here.

In summary, I'm impressed. What I feared to be a time-consuming process turns out to be dead simple. Time is money, but now I know I'll be able to add new videos to this and other sites without any bother. I like that. If you need to put video on your website, Easy Web Video is the answer.

Oh, forgot to mention, you don't even have to have a website, Easy Web Video can host your video for you.
